Yahoo placed 73rd on Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For list.

What makes it so great?

The dot-com spirit lives at the Internet portal, which makes its debut on our list. Onsite amenities include massage, haircuts, dentistry, car wash, oil change, foosball, bocce, free lattes, and stock options for all.
Not too shabby.

Sticker fun

My banana had a sticker on it that said “Place sticker on forehead.  Smile.”  Using the grammatical loophole of the unspecific “forehead”, I placed the sticker on Ben’s forehead and smiled.  He thinks Chiquita owes him some money for advertising space, and is going to call and complain.  Figuring this can’t be an isolated incident, we expect the phone tree to have an option like “If you have a sticker on your forehead, press 2.”

What a Monday.

Why I love my job

Today, I

  • discussed the eternal excellence of “Welcome Back, Kotter”
  • juggled oranges and talked about the guy who can juggle a chainsaw, a bowling ball, and an apple
  • researched The Thompson Twins to figure out why Ben called me one
  • watched “Lazy Sunday” and debated the last time SNL was actually funny
  • tried to use my ninja moves on Lawrence
  • played with Humphrey The Humping Dog
  • attempted to explain the fine line between “awesome” and “obnoxious”

Oh yeah, and did some of that “work” stuff.
