Yo Ho Ho, Merry (Pirate) Christmas

Nothing says Christmas-time like my mom talking about having to explain to the kids in her class the reasoning behind not saying “cha cha cha” after every line of the song when they sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus (they’ve grasped that you don’t say “and many more…” at the end, because he doesn’t have any more). That never ceases to crack me up.

My last Christmas gift is on the truck for delivery, so all is well. Now I just need to do some wrapping. I feel like there’s a joke about old-school wrapping in here somewhere, but I’m too busy to try to dig it out.

Allison’s family is in town, and it’s T minus 26 hours until the families begin to meet. Scary.

That’s all I’ve got. Happy holidays to you and yours.
